History
The Taikūnai burial site is located on the western shore of Lake Vilkaitis in the village of Taikūnai. Iron axes, rings, and knives were found at this burial site during road construction in 1937.
The site of the battles and deaths of Lithuanian partisans is located in Taikūnai, in the Veisiejų eldership in Lazdijai District.
