Culture and History

The brick Church of the Saviour is located in Butrimonių eldership. Its construction was interrupted by the First World War and was not completed until 1926. The church preserves paintings and folk art from the first half of the 19th century, as well as early works by the renowned artist Antanas Kmieliauskas, who came from the area around Butrimonys.
