The Šutrijos Kalnas hill is located in the vicinity of Ubiškė. The Kietkalnis hill is located in the wider regional surroundings of Ubiškė. To the west of Ubiškė lies the Ubiškės tvenkinys pond, an extension of the Patekla River.

Culture and history

Ubiškė is home to the wooden church Ubiškės Šv. Angelų Sargų bažnyčia, which was built in 1851 and has a bell tower. The Ubiškės estate is mentioned in the 18th century and was owned by the Šilauskai family.

Geographical location

Ubiškė is located 2 km south of the A11 Šiauliai–Palanga road; the Vilnius–Klaipėda railway line runs along the southern edge of the town. The Ubiškė–Vainočiai railway bridge crosses the Virvytė River.
