One of the Lithuanian symbols of and the major sight of Vilnius is The Gediminas Tower, a complex of fortified houses of the Upper Castle kept on the mountain Zamkovaya since XIV century. Nowadays there is a museum in a Gothic tower devoted to the history of Lithuania, and a convenient observation site.
