The Catholic Church of Saint Matthew the Apostle and Evangelist, known in Lithuanian as “Šv. apaštalo evangelisto Mato bažnyčia”, is located in Krosna at Alytaus g. 53 and was built in 1842.

The Krosna Manor was first mentioned in documents in 1688; the settlement was first mentioned in the 16th century under the name Krasnica.

Krosna and its surroundings serve as the setting for Walter Flex’s World War I novella “The Wanderer Between the Two Worlds”.
