Zemaitija National Park

Lithuania is a marvelous country with a wonderful climate, beautiful nature and a set of historical monuments among which national parks of the country rank a peculiar place. They number 5 in all. And among them one of the most beautiful is Zemaitija National Park.

Zemaitija is in northwest of Lithuania. It opens unlimited opportunities for visitors of the town. And, certainly, tourists do not disregard Zemaitija national park. Besides natural monuments it is interesting to visit archaeological monuments as well. They number about 30. Among them there're barrows, burial grounds, sacrificial mountains. It is impossible to forget architectural monuments as well. These are ancient manors, churches, a mill. Also museums and an art gallery of the park where it is possible to learn various facts from the history of Lithuania are often visited by tourists.
