While renting a car you should pay attention to the terms of insurance. They are different in different companies. In some cases if you are guilty of an accident a firm can make you pay 50% of the insurance sum. You should be aware of the sort of petrol used in your car, the absence of damages and know the telephone of emergency.

The largest car renting companies in Lithuania are International Holdings Europcar and Litinterp. But the renting terms of small local companies are often more profitable.

While driving a car you should pay attention to the traffic rules. They are rather strict in Lithuania. If you exceed the speed limit or drive a car while being drunk you may not only pay fine, but go to prison.
