The Gediminas (Gyadiminas) Avenue is the major street of Vilnius crossing the Lithuanian capital from the Cathedral Square up to the turning of Nyaris. The Government, the Seimas Palace, various ministries, the Constitutional court and the Bank of Lithuania are situated here. There is a Lithuanian Academy of sciences, Academy of Music and Theatre, and the Lithuanian National Drama Theatre there on the well-known Avenue.
