Culture
The Alkiškių evangelikų liuteronų bažnyčia was begun in 1861 and consecrated in 1865. Its site originally served as a prayer house and branch of the Šiaulių evangelikų liuteronų bažnyčia. The church is one of three Latvian churches that survived in Lithuania after the Second World War.
The history of the area also includes a find: a hoard containing approximately 370 silver coins from the 16th and 17th centuries was discovered in Alkiškiai. Part of the hoard found in Alkiškiai is kept at the Vilniaus istorijos ir etnografijos muziejus.

The Alkiškių miškas, also known as Alkiškių pušynas, is a state-owned forest of approximately 100 hectares next to Alkiškiai. The Alkiškių miškas is classified as a forest park.
Luokavos Piliakalnis, Skutskalns, Kukuru Kalns, and Lāču Kalns are all hills in the wider regional surroundings of Alkiškiai.

On the Dabikinė, there is a water-tourism section near Alkiškiai along the right bank in the direction of Akmenė; kayaks, canoes, or similar paddle boats are recommended.
