Cathedral
The Cathedral is the most ancient cult construction of Lithuanian Christians. The Cathedral has been founded in 1251 on a place of a heathen temple to the god of a thunderstorm – Pyarkunas (Perun). In the altar parts of a temple there are the relics of the Lithuanian patron, Saint Casimir. There are also the frescos of the XIV century in the Cathedral, a unique icon “The Crucifixion” and the numerous holy vessels of the XIV-XX centuries kept.

The National gallery comes back to Vilnius

In hotels and restaurants of Vilnius there will be no electricity
Since the 11th of June, hotels and restaurants of Lithuanian capital, Vilnius, will start to hold the actions of protest against increase in the VAT rate up to 19.
